When I got home I had a cold shower and my temperature was still 38.3C (101F)! I've got a cold or something and I normally handle the heat a lot better (it's rather hot here).

Hopefully I'll feel better soon - this sucks - especially as I've got a holiday (kinda) starting tomorrow.

Don't know if I'll be able to post for the next week or so, but I hardly ever post anyway so I'm sure no one will notice :) That of course assumes that people actually *reads* my journal - which is a rather large assumption to make :)

It is *so* hot here (UK)! So hot infact that the trains had to slow down because they were scared the tracks were going to buckle. It's funny that when it's cold everyone wishes it was hotter and when it's hot everyone prays for cool whether. I've been hiding inside over the past couple of days (actually been busy with work) so I'm going out tonight to celebrate completion of the project (that's my excuse anyway).

Will post later if I'm sober enough.

I hate doing my accounts, but I wouldn't trust anyone else to do them so I guess I'm stuck with them! I got them done this evening so I'm quite happy. I have to do them every 3 months but it only takes a few hours so I shouldn't complain too much.

I'm up late, but I slept a lot today. Drinking some wine and watching TV. I deserve it :)

I haven't posted in a few days because I've been busy preparing teaching material (yes - I'm going to be teaching people *laugh*). I finally got it finished and feel a bit less apprehensive about. Only thing is I've only got 4 hours to sleep before I have to get ready and get the train! I'm going to be staying up in Coventry so probably won't be on-line for a while (it'll probably do me good).

I'm looking forward to it, but I'll have to keep Dave (the friend whose house I'll be staying at) in check with regard the amount of time we spend up the pub (teaching with a hang-over doesn't sound fun).

Anyway - better sleep :)

Pretty average

After several attempts, I finally found a name which wasn't taken - so here I am!

Today's been pretty average, but I thought I should have at least one entry! I've been a bit complacent about work recently (mostly because the thing I was working on was pretty boring), but I managed to see it through and get it finished. The hardest part is yet to come: getting it fully deployed. Still I've done my part, so it's up to the client now to give the go-ahead.

I'm going to have to do my accounts soon and send a big fat cheque to the VAT man. I hope he appreciates all my hard work! Doing accounts is by far the worst part of working for yourself, I could never have become an accountant!

Having hardly spodded at all for about 3 years, I've got right back into it! My attitude towards it is somewhat different now, which is a good thing, and at least I'm getting my work done. But it's good to keep in contact with friends, old and new - and it's something to do while I think about solutions to my clients problems :).

That'll do for the moment I think. Watch this space!
